We have 7 Siberian tigers, 4 male and 3 female. We currently don't have any baby tigers in our enclosure. Tigers are actually very calm animals towards humans, only attacking when feeling threatened at sudden loud noises or movements from humans and in our enclosure here at Laurel - Wood, as long as you are in a car, you may drive around the tiger enclosure. Tigers eat 15 - 16 kg of food per day; this consists of deer, wild boar, buffalo, guar, porcupine meat,  fish, frogs, pythons, rhinos or young elephants (although here are Laurel - Wood we do not feed them rhino, elephant or pythons.)  Tigers are primarily meat eaters but they will eat fruit, berries and grass if meat is scarce. Tigers originally live in wet, humid jungles so in our large tiger areas we have placed light sprinklers in tall trees and heat producters to ensure that our tigers feel the most at home they can be without being hunted!

Our wolves are situated next to the tigers and also live in another drive-in enclosure.  We have 5 grown wolves with 3 pups, the two oldest and the most respected wolves in the pack, 'Hunter' and 'Winny' are the parents of our 3 pups. Wolves eat very regualary, but hold the stomach to live on scraps for two weeks, but here we feed our pack every 5 - 6  hours. (Feeding times are availble at the front desk - please be aware that we do not let any cars through the drive-in during these times.) Wolves are carnivores and are fed many things such as, moose, elk, earthworms, grasshopers, mice, birds and fish. Wolves are very vicious animals at feeding time and battle to reach the food first; all except the pups who stay in the den until the parents will either, disgorge meat from their stomachs to feed the pups, or carry fresh meat back to the den.
